Hi, New to the board a few minutes ago. Here, Redding, CT, we NEED air becuse we drive goat paths on very hill terrain. We use flat front, full size, with the close wheel base for the narrow sharp corners. With juice, you apply and hope you stop (full bus). The way it feels anyway.

I've used both, and really like air brakes. Better stopping power, and much, much smoother stopping than they were years ago. (My first experience was in a 1973 Chevy 48 passenger with a manual transmission, and air brakes that stopped the vehicle if you looked at them wrong!)
